Technician Electronics Sr

Location: Bohemia, NY

To continue to meet our customer’s mission critical needs, PDC is seeking a Technician Electronics Sr. to join our respected and valued team.

This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

The compensation for this position is $26 - $30 hourly.

Position Summary:

The primary functions of this position is to perform the procedures involved with the testing of a wide range of different circuit card assemblies or systems, working in a team environment, to achieve company shipping goals

Key Position Accountabilities:

  • Performs test duties and troubleshooting to the component level on highly complex products.
  • Diagnoses test equipment or fixture failure and take corrective action
  • Sets up and adjusts manual and/or automatic test equipment, and mentor/teach other team members on the process.
  • Acts as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing on clarity of the design and any manufacturing improvements. May be required to for technical support to Engineering.
  • Records and gives a detailed report of technical problems to Test Engineering, Design Engineer or Test Supervisor.
  • Determines methods and sequences of new assignments and provides guidance to department personnel.
  • Supports RMA FAR’s and shipping goals.
  • Cross training to other CCA job functions required and mentors junior staff as necessary.
  • Assigns and coordinates work assignments with supervisors to meet department schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Technical, vocational or armed forces training preferred.
  • Associates degree in related field of study preferred.
  • 5-10 years relevant work experience preferred.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
